The Oskar Lapp Foundation
Guided by the work of the Oskar Lapp Foundation, established in 1992, the Lapp Group is committed to advancing research into heart disease. The Foundation awards annual prizes to young scientists for their outstanding work in the field.
With the death of Oskar Lapp, Ursula Ida Lapp and her sons wanted to quickly create an institution to commemorate the life and beliefs of the founding father of the company. As Oskar Lapp died from heart disease, the family decided to dedicate the Oskar Lapp Foundation to the study of cardiology.
Working with the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kardiologie, the Foundation awards a prize each year to a young researcher who has demonstrated a clear commitment to cardiovascular research and whose work has helped make progress in the field.
