Fibre cables

ARALINE cables

fibre-optic-header

LAPP Muller's ARALINE cables are significantly superior to cables or ropes using synthetic fibers.

  • High breaking strength: 160 to 220 Dan/mm²
  • Great lightweight: 4 to 5 times lighter than steel
  • Very low elongation at breaking: 1.6% to 2.5%
  • High resistance to inter-fiber abrasion
  • Good resistance to fatigue and shocks (alternate loads)
  • Dielectrically insulating, non-magnetic, and resistant to the Corona effect
  • No expansion or contraction due to temperature variations
  • Full maintenance of fiber mechanical characteristics within temperature range: 40°C to +100°C continuously, 80°C to +240°C peak
  • Self-extinguishing (depending on sheath type)
  • Rot-proof and corrosion-resistant (stainless)
  • Resistant to mold Resistant to chemical corrosion

Helicopter-resistant cables for prisons

ARALINE-cable

The installation of helicopter-resistant cables will depend on the configuration of the prison.

The mesh consists of primary cables (in red and purple) onto which secondary cables (blue and green) are attached.

The spacing between secondary cables must not exceed 8 meters, and the two cable networks (or layers) are on two different horizontal planes (separated by approximately 4 meters).

We offer the supply of primary and secondary cables as well as the hardware pieces for fixing the various cables.

Mooring Line

Our ARALINE cables are also used as mooring lines. We also provide suitable mechanical terminations (in stainless steel, galvanized steel).

Stay Cables

Lapp Muller is one of the leading suppliers and designers of stay cables made from aramid (Kevlar) or PBO fiber.

We also supply suitable mechanical terminations (in stainless steel, titanium, or aluminum).
